Terms and conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they govern your use of our services. By engaging with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Estimates and Quotations

  1. All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  2. Estimates are based on visible conditions and information available at the time of inspection.
  3. Hidden defects, concealed piping, structural issues, code deficiencies, asbestos, mold, hazardous materials, or unforeseen conditions may require additional work and charges.
  4. Any changes requested by the Customer after work has commenced may result in revised pricing.
  5. A 30% deposit is required upon starting any work.

2. Scope of Work

The Company will perform only the work described in the approved estimate or work order. 

Any additional work requested must be approved by the Customer and may be billed separately.

3. Pricing

Unless otherwise specified:

  • Prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
  • Applicable GST/PST will be added where required.
  • Emergency service rates, after-hours rates, weekend rates, and holiday rates may differ from standard business hours.
  • Material costs may change if supplier pricing changes before materials are purchased.

4. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Credit Card
  • Debit
  • E-Transfer
  • Cash
  • Cheque (subject to approval)

Invoices not paid by the due date may be subject to:

  • Collection costs, legal fees, and administrative costs associated with recovering overdue amounts.

The Company reserves the right to suspend future work until outstanding balances are paid.

5. Deposits

The Company requires a deposit of 30% before work commences :

  • Custom orders
  • Large projects
  • Equipment purchases
  • Special-order materials

Deposits are generally non-refundable once materials have been ordered.

6. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Provide safe and unobstructed access to the work area.
  • Ensure utilities (water, electricity, gas) are available when required.
  • Remove valuables and personal belongings from the work area.
  • Disclose known issues affecting the plumbing or heating systems.
  • Obtain landlord or strata approval where required.

Additional labour caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions may be billed.

7. Permits and Inspections

Where required, permits may be obtained by the Company unless otherwise agreed.

Permit fees, inspection fees, engineering fees, and municipal charges are additional unless specifically included in the estimate.

Inspection scheduling is subject to municipal availability.

8. Existing Conditions

The Company is not responsible for:

  • Hidden leaks
  • Corroded or deteriorated piping
  • Pre-existing damage
  • Building settlement
  • Undiscovered code violations
  • Damage resulting from aged plumbing systems

Work performed on older systems may reveal additional repairs that were not visible before work began.

9. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated:

Labour Warranty

The Company warrants its workmanship for one (1) year from the completion date.

Manufacturer Warranty

Equipment, fixtures, appliances, and materials are covered only by the manufacturer's warranty.

The Company does not extend or modify manufacturer warranties.

10. Warranty Exclusions

Warranty does not cover:

  • Customer misuse
  • Abuse or neglect
  • Freezing
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Clogs caused by improper use
  • Drain blockages
  • Tree root intrusion
  • Natural disasters
  • Power surges
  • Acts of God
  • Unauthorized repairs
  • Customer-supplied materials
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty becomes void if another contractor modifies or repairs the Company's work before inspection.

11. Drain Cleaning Disclaimer

Drain cleaning removes existing obstructions but does not guarantee future blockages will not occur.

The Company cannot guarantee:

  • Permanent drain clearing
  • Root-free pipes
  • Structural integrity of drain lines

Video inspection may be recommended for recurring issues.

12. Excavation and Underground Services

Underground conditions cannot be guaranteed.

The Company is not responsible for:

  • Unknown underground utilities
  • Rocks
  • Concrete
  • Buried debris
  • Soil movement
  • Existing landscaping
  • Irrigation systems
  • Previously unknown underground structures

Additional work required due to unforeseen underground conditions will be billed separately.

13. Gas Fitting

Gas work will be completed in accordance with applicable British Columbia codes and regulations.

Gas service interruptions by utilities are outside the Company's control.

14. Delays

The Company is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Weather
  • Material shortages
  • Utility interruptions
  • Inspection delays
  • Labour shortages
  • Supplier delays
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Project schedules are estimates only.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The Company's liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Consequential damages
  • Loss of business
  • Lost profits
  • Water damage occurring after repairs due to unrelated failures
  • Damage caused by pre-existing defects

16. Emergency Services

Emergency repairs are intended to stabilize immediate problems.

Permanent repairs may require additional appointments and separate charges.

17. Cancellation

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Customers who are unavailable upon technician arrival may also be charged a $50 service fee.

18. Access and Safety

The Company reserves the right to refuse or stop work if:

  • Unsafe conditions exist
  • Aggressive behaviour occurs
  • Hazardous materials are present
  • Required utilities are unavailable
  • Work cannot be performed safely

Charges may apply for time spent on-site.

19. Photography

The Company may photograph work areas before, during, and after completion for:

  • Documentation
  • Warranty purposes
  • Insurance records
  • Quality control

Photographs will not intentionally identify Customers without permission.

20. Customer-Supplied Materials

The Company is not responsible for defects, delays, compatibility issues, or warranty claims relating to customer-supplied fixtures, appliances, or materials.

Additional labour required due to customer-supplied products will be billed accordingly.

21. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fires, pandemics, labour disputes, supplier shortages, or government actions.

22. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

23. Privacy

Customer information is collected solely for the purpose of providing services, invoicing, warranty administration, and legal compliance.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

24. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with any approved estimate, work order, invoice, or written agreement, constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Customer.

Any amendments must be made in writing.

25. Acceptance

By approving an estimate, signing a work order, authorizing work by email or text message, or allowing work to begin, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
